- "30 Over 30 - Pieces of Louisiana" -

Martin has been creating beautiful works of art in ink for over 30 years. To celebrate, he designed this exceptional anniversary piece incorporating many works done over his extensive career. This piece illustrates the progress of his work through the years, as well as showing the wide diversity in Louisiana history and culture.

Martin went through his extensive body of work selecting representative pieces from each year. He arranged them in this unique format, alternating black-and-white and colored images, creating a distinctive design. The light sepia background of the ink images replicates the look of the paper Martin utilizes for his prints. The colored images are highly-detailed, with rich and vibrant tones. The shadow effect along the outer edge gives the design a 3-dimensional look.

Borders along the top and bottom of the poster feature the corresponding title of each work along with year created. These date and title sets are separated by a small image of a quill pen sketched by Martin, the type of pen he used early on to create many of the pieces. To complete the design, "LOUISIANA", in large lettering, descends along the left side of the poster, showcasing the state Martin has portrayed throughout his career.
